Chanakya was an adviser to the first Maurya Emperor Chandragupta and is considered a pioneer of the field of economics and political science. He is credited with the creation of Arthashastra and Neetishastra which is also known as Chanakya Niti.
The Arthashastra discusses monetary policies & war strategies whereas the Neetishastra is a treatise on the ideal way of life.
